As my daughters got older and starting pushing away, I became insecure and struggled with the change.
I found myself feeling insecure and like I wasn't a good enough mom. If I was a good enough mom, my kids wouldn't be pushing me away and wanting to do things on their own, right?
The more independent they became, the harder I fought for control. I became overbearing, needy, and desperate.
Everything was about me. If I was a good enough mom my kids would listen to me and want to spend time with me.
I knew I needed help, so I went searching. I considered therapy, read all the books I could on parenting and communicating with my teens. I finally found the answer I was looking for when I found life coaching.
Life coaching gave me the tools I needed to help manage my thoughts and emotions. I dove in and learned all I could and became a certified life coach. It changed my life!
Today I'm enjoying motherhood more than ever before because I can be me and my daughters can be themselves. I know how to manage my own emotions and thoughts which allows me to be confident in my parenting.
Now I help moms, who have the same doubts and struggles I had, become the moms they're meant to be!
